1st Annual Steel City Classic

Cranberry, PA - The Pittsburgh NABA is in the planning phase of hosting a regional NABA tournament in Cranberry, PA over the 2009 Labor Day weekend.  The "Steel City Classic" will be a wood bat tournament centered in Cranberry and utilizing fields from northern Allegheny County, Western Beaver, and Southern Butler Counties.

A tournament planing committee is presently being established by Joe Graff, and all persons interested in helping out should contact him at pittnaba@yahoo.com.  Assistance is needed in helping recruit teams to participate, accomodations, acquiring fields, and securing tournament sponsors.

  1. I say we enter a 25+ and an 18+ if we can get the opposing teams…we have enough players to do this.

  2. even if we just get local naba teams, teams from the over 28 league, teams from daily news league, and teams from butler county / beaver county leagues (are there any other leagues?). i think we could get a decent turnout.
