Well it's been almost a week since the Bulldogs season ended and it still pains me to think about that game. With the playoff picture starting to take shape, the Warriors and Hurricanes are battling it out for the Allegheny championship. We took 2 of 3 from each of these teams in the regular season and sat with a 7-1 lead going into the 6th inning against the Warriors - before things imploded. If you haven't heard by now, the Warriors scored 8 runs in the top of the 6th, on amazingly zero Bulldogs errors... And that was the ballgame. We had nothing left after that and went down quietly in the 6th and 7th.
The Warriors now sit one win shy of their 2nd straight championship appearance - as this was probably our best shot at having a chance to make a title run with our original core of Bulldogs players. Next season, several of us will move on to the 28 and over league, while we hope to fill the NABA Bulldogs with some younger talent.
Meanwhile, in the Mon Division, the Black Sox took a surprising first game victory over the Owlz. Most likely, this series is probably the true NABA championship series. Unless somehow the Hurricanes are able to win the next 2 games. They are probably the only team with a chance to beat the BSox and Owlz.. and that's only if Rafalski pitches 2 straight games.
I'll try to keep posted on the playoffs, but you will probably get a better write up on the Ducks blog.
YODA - can we get a shout over here?

i'm yoda and i'm here to say that i have a small penis
Steel City Classic is fast approaching.. Bulldogs may be in need of some bodies, as several people are out of town that weekend.
See you all at the classic, and if not, at Fall Ball. Oh, and look out for info on the end of season "Bulldog Bash". All teams that we like are invited.

good season.
Which Bulldogs are going to the 28 and over league next summer?
I thought about going, but I don’t like that they play all of their games on Sunday mornings.
Besides, Coach Sorosky guaranteed me a spot in the Gray Bats starting rotation in 2010.
