The 18+ Bulldogs look to continue their season after a nearly two week layoff at the hands of that bitch called Mother Nature. The Bulldogs have two games this weekend, both of which are against divisional opponents.
Game #1 - Etna Matadors vs. Rochester Inn Bulldogs
The Bulldogs took the first game of the season against the young Matadors at Etna several Fridays ago in what was a very exciting game. The skies opened up over Etna approximately 1 hour prior to gametime, but that field is a champ. Took it like a...well you get the idea. The Matadors are coming off of a win over the Hurricanes, which represents one of the Hurricanes' two losses this season. All fans are invited to come out and cheer on the Bulldogs on Saturday morning, with the first pitch scheduled at 8:35 AM.
Game #2 - Rochester Inn Bulldogs vs. Pittsburgh Hurricanes
This game marks the first time that these two teams have met this season. Both teams have two losses, with the Oilers in common between them, I believe. This is a must win, as the winner will be perched atop the standings in the Allegheny conference. The Hurricanes will be involved in a doubleheader on Saturday against the Emsworth Matadors, which should prove to be a good game (Editor's notes: 1) it is supposed to be hot as balls on Saturday and 2) Where in the hell is Craig Boley?). If anything, I would say that this would favor the Bulldogs, as three games are tough on the body. We shall see. It will be a great game and, as always, all are invited to come watch. This game has a scheduled start of 3PM at Burkett Field in Robinson. I've never been on the field, but, surprisingly, I know of it because I frequent quite a few of the restaurants in the area.
Before you comment, yes, I know this post sucks, and if someone else on the team would like to contribute to this blog, please feel free.
