Record Breaking Month?

Taking a quick look at the blog stats and we are on pace to break 1000 unique visitors for this month, which would be a record for the blog.  The previous high was last month with 870 visits.  The funny part is that we havent updated shit in over a week.

My summer has been busy as hell, as I've already missed 4 games, with many more to come..  I think my baseball career may be winding down (possibly to be replace full time by surfing)... So I'm hoping others can take over the blog and keep things up to date.  Joe?  Ben? Vinny?

On a side note, can we get a Bulldogs / NABA golf outing set up?

I know we (28+ team) lost 6-5 last Sunday... our 5th or 6th 1 run loss of the season.  We could just as easily be undefeated this season, yet we sit at 4-7.  Poor defense is to blame for most of the losses and a lack of timely hitting.  I don't know the reason for us not playing a 2nd game, maybe joe can elaborate on that.

This season has been kind of strange from my perspective... We don't seem to be playing with the same chemistry as years past.   All physical errors aside, we've been making some mental errors as well.   Maybe it's the loss of DDP or Wino's health problems.. It seems like our core drinking team has not been there, and I think that has affected our play on the field.  We just havent really had a good marathon day/night at the rochester to bring the team together.

I have no idea what's up with the NABA team.  Rain has been a bitch.  It looks like they lost again to the Oilers, but swept the Warriors. I've got no details on any of that.

That's all I've got.... go read the duck's blog if you want more up to date info on the NABA.  Ben is a 28+ Bulldog anyway...  (now enhanced with 100% more WordPress)

PEACE

  1. Yeah, those waves on the Mon River would be a great place to use a surfboard (??)

“It seems like our core drinking team has not been there, and I think that has affected our play on the field. ..” Maybe the drinking has affected the play on the field? just an idea.

OK, someone photoshop Joe Graff on a surfboard.

  2. For the outing (How about a Bulldogs/Ducks combo?): get stuff to raffle (bulldogs and Ducks t-shirts, hats, anything you can con local businesses into giving you – I have a letter drafted asking for these things that would only need the date and some minor logistical stuff changed that would be ok to send out) find a cheap course and get a block of Tee times for like six weeks from the time you’ve sent out the letters so you have time to get stuff back in the mail. Charge everyone like $10-$20 more per-person than the greens fees (so arund 60 in prize money/donated funds) per foursome) and split the overage between prize money for the winning foursome and the league/teams in question.

    quack.
