Three big games face the Bulldogs this upcoming Sunday. The elder Bulldogs sit at 7-13 on the season and must win their remaining 8 games to finish above .500 and have a decent shot at the playoffs. A 7-1 finish will leave us at .500 on the season. This Sunday's double header at Avonworth is against the Monroeville Hurricanes, who we already swept once this season, but we have had some troubles playing at our home field. Let's get this thing turned around and finish strong in our final 8 games.
Following the double header, several of the 28 and over Bulldogs will rest up and then travel to Laroche College to help out the NABA Bulldogs who face the Oilers in the first round of the NABA playoffs. This game is huge for the baby Bulldogs, as we have still yet to win a playoff game (kind of embarrassing to admit). Despite several great regular seasons, the Bulldogs have been huge chokers when it comes to the playoffs (see last year's example). It's time to turn that around on Sunday.
Hopefully last night's practice pays off. We need to keep our heads in the game and play SMART baseball. No stupid mental errors on the base paths or in the field.

One game at a time for the old-timers. Played some tough teams at home recently, losing to the #1, #2, and #3 teams at home. However, our last home win was versus the #3 team on our home turf. I expect more of the same Sunday.
6 new players in the everyday line-up for the baby bulldogs. Young blood knows how to swing it. With a little defense, and a little pitching, we are a tough team to beat. We may be the 5 seed, we may have lost to the oilers twice this year, but you gotta believe we are not a team the Oilers want to be facing right now.
