We get a lot of traffic to the blog from people looking to fall baseball leagues in Pittsburgh.. So I thought I'd make mention of the NABA fall league. (The Link about fall ball on the league website says "Access Denied" - FYI Joe).
Assuming the Fall League is still going down, visit http://pittsburghnaba.com/ for more details. Registration deadline is tomorrow Fri 13th, but I'm assuming that may get pushed back if more players are still needed to make teams. Opening day is slated for Sept 11th. Get your money to Joe ASAP and you probably have to fill out a registration form under the Handouts section of the website.
Fall ball is a lot of fun. It's definitely a more laid back vibe compared to the summer league. It's a good opportunity for people that are new to the league to get some playing time and possibly get picked up on a summer team. Games take place on Sunday mornings. I think some dude from the Maulers is helping run the Fall League, as Joe is possibly grooming him to be his protege.

"raw chicken smells like fish", "smoking two cigs at once" - i'm assuming that was someone from the blacksox, and "beaver shots in sports" - someone looking for pictures of Trojan. And of course the month wouldn't be complete without a search for "beth ann tiedemann".
